In order to expand my understanding of coil-building techniques and approaches, I created a variety of seed pod-inspired shapes that allowed me to play with organic forms and textures. The pod shapes were all dipped in a shino glaze and fired in an atmospheric gas kiln. This created the variation in colors and carbon trapping you see in the photos.
